His earlier career as a graphic designer, where creativity was commodified for others’ success, left him feeling drained and disconnected from his true purpose. Yet, André saw this as an opportunity. He used the lessons learned in this phase as both sword and shield, empowering him to break free and establish his own creative domain—an artistic sanctuary where he could be both the architect and ruler of his world.
This personal utopia soon gave birth to his iconic creation: Goldie, the panther. More than just a figure, Goldie represents André’s liberation, a powerful symbol of independence and triumph over adversity. I am deeply committed to raising awareness about the profound impact of heart disease, particularly in light of my sisters' battles, and advocating for research that can enhance and extend the lives of those facing heart ailments.
As an artist, I've harnessed my creativity to support critical fundraising initiatives for heart disease research. I recognize that not everyone is as fortunate as my sister, who received a second chance at life.
However, I hold a strong belief that by uniting our efforts, we can pave the path toward a healthier and brighter future for all.
